An International IT Service & Solution company serving the automotive industry located near Plano, TX is seeking an experienced and dedicated Telematics Infotainment Remote Service System Design Engineer . This position requires experience in automotive industry and in this role, you will have the opportunity to lead latest generation of ECUs for an International Automotive Company.
Please note this is W2 Contract position and hybrid position. Local candidates are preferred.
Responsibilities :
Design and develop system architecture for infotainment or remote service solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications.
Create and maintain system design documentation, including block diagrams, interface definitions, and system specifications.
Integrate hardware and software components into the overall system architecture.
Perform system testing and validation to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Review and create test cases for remote services and conduct end-to-end testing.
Perform initial triage for remote service issues and follow up with issue owners.
Plan joint integrated test(JIT) with other stakeholders and execute the activities.
Provide technical guidance and support to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to infotainment and remote services.
Requirements
Required Skills :
- Automotive Infotainment / Communications Experience is a MUST
- Understanding of in-car data communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.)
- Familiarity with automotive telematics applications such as navigation, vehicle diagnostics, infotainment, and over-the-air (OTA) updates
- Experience with infotainment system architecture, including multimedia integration, voice recognition, and connectivity features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and more.
- Knowledge of infotainment platforms like Android Automotive, QNX, or other automotive-specific operating systems.
- Experience working with embedded software development for automotive applications.
- Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS), C / C , and development tools.
- Understanding of wireless technologies like LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, which are integral to telematics and infotainment systems.
- Knowledge of integrating telematics and infotainment systems into the vehicle’s overall electronic architecture.
- Familiarity with testing and troubleshooting integration issues in real-world automotive environments.
- Ability to write Remote Service Test Cases
- Proficient use of testing equipment (e.g., CANoe)
