What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level Service Engineer -Industrial Equipment position at Activ8?
An international supplier of industrial equipment based in the Alexandria, VA area is currently searching for a motivated Service Engineer to support their operations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with production machine and familiarity with the installation and repair of manufacturing machinery. This is a full-time, direct hire position. The company may be able to support visa for this position.

Service Engineer Responsibilities Include :
Conduct preventative, general, and emergency maintenance on equipment and machinery onsite at customer facilities
Install, service, troubleshoot and repair the equipment
Provide remote / virtual support to customers via phone and email as needed
Tracking of tool and material inventory
Creation of documentation and activity reports for upper management
Other duties as assigned
Service Engineer Requirements Include :
High school diploma or GED required
Previous familiarity with industrial food / package production equipment, tool and die maintenance, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting is a big plus
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating, and maintenance documents.
Good communication and collaboration skills in a multicultural environment
Strong problem-solving skills and time management ability
This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts / equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
