A global food distribution company is currently seeking a Warehouse Associate in the Savage, MD area. This is a full-time, direct hire onsite position.
Warehouse Associate Responsibilities Include:
Perform inventory control and maintain accurate inventory records
Packing food products and store them appropriately
Help with food production such as cutting raw meat
Utilize inventory software to track and log inbound and outbound items
Inspect incoming goods, return damaged items if necessary
Loading and unloading of trucks
Other Job Duties As Assigned
Warehouse Associate Requirements Include:
1-2 year of experience in warehousing and logistics is preferred
Minimum high school diploma or GED
Active forklift certification is a plus
Work inside the freezer
Great listening and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Strong time management, multitasking, and organization skills
Good computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
