Position Summary:
Activate is seeking a dynamic and versatile IT and Digital Marketing Technologist to support both the technology infrastructure and digital marketing efforts of our company. This role combines traditional IT duties with responsibilities in web design, development, and digital marketing, making it a critical position in ensuring smooth operations and innovative marketing strategies. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with a creative mindset and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Support and Infrastructure:
- Provide day-to-day IT support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues to ensure smooth company operations.
- Manage and maintain IT systems, including hardware procurement, software updates, and system security.
- Set up and configure devices for new employees and ensure all staff have access to required software and tools.
- Monitor and enhance cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems.
- Collaborate with external vendors for advanced IT support or system upgrades.
Web Design and Development:
- Design and maintain responsive, visually appealing websites aligned with Activate’s branding and objectives.
- Ensure websites are optimized for user experience (UX), mobile compatibility, and SEO best practices.
- Develop and implement updates, bug fixes, and new features for internal and client-facing web platforms.
- Integrate multimedia elements such as videos, images, and interactive content into websites.
- Monitor website performance, including speed, functionality, and cross-browser compatibility.
Digital Marketing Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and execute SEO and SEM strategies to enhance online visibility and engagement.
- Plan, create, and publish high-quality, optimized content across digital channels, including blog posts, social media, and email campaigns.
- Manage paid advertising campaigns (e.g., Google Ads) to drive traffic and conversions.
- Analyze campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics and SEMrush, and provide actionable insights to optimize results.
- Oversee social media management, including content creation, engagement strategies, and performance analysis.
- Coordinate multi-channel marketing efforts to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency.
Collaboration and Reporting:
- Work closely with the Technology Manager to identify and implement IT solutions that support both operational and marketing goals.
- Partner with creative and marketing teams to ensure web and digital marketing efforts align with company objectives.
- Provide regular updates and reports on IT performance, website metrics, and marketing campaign success.
Job Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience: 5 years in a related role, with a combination of IT, web design, and digital marketing experience.
Requirements:
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, especially under pressure.
- Proficiency with web design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress).
- Expertise in digital marketing tools, including Google Analytics, SEMrush, Google Ads, and social media platforms.
- Knowledge of IT systems, network administration, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana) is a plus.
