Active Day has an available opportunity for a
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Driver to join our team!
This is a dual-role position giving you the opportunity to serve our members in center and on the road!

As a C.N.As you are part of a team focused on providing supportive and functional care per each members’ unique needs and care plan. CNAs assist members with activities at our daycare centers, including personal and medical care, meals, and on- and off-site social activities.

Responsibilities
As CNA your responsibilities include:
- Assist members with daily living and personal care activities as needed (e.g., arrival and departure, eating, ambulation, transferring, therapies, restroom assistance, etc.)
- Through direct interaction and observation, assist the interdisciplinary team in reviewing members' behaviors and medical needs; provide timely and compassionate prescribed medical and physical care per daily goals.
- Assist in the planning and facilitation of creative and diverse therapeutic recreational programs and encourage member participation.
- Serve meals and snacks and clear tables; assist with feeding as needed.
- Ensure the safety of members by monitoring activities, keeping a sanitary, clutter-free environment, and participating in safety training; actively contribute to creating and maintaining a clean, orderly, bright, and welcoming center.
In addition to having fun and putting a smile on our members' faces, your responsibilities as a Driver / Shuttle Driver include:
- Ensuring members are transported safely whenever they are in your care!
- Assisting members with on- and off-boarding and with any special needs during transport.
- Ensuring the company vehicle is “member-ready” at all times: sparkling clean and free from obstacles as well as in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly. You want to make sure the vehicle carrying precious cargo is in perfect running order
Qualifications
Your qualifications for this great dual role will include:
- High school diploma or equivalent and current CNA certification.
- At least 21 years of age.
- At least one year of full-time equivalent experience in a health care setting preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and state/vehicle-specific driver credentials.
- This is a physical job, after all we are ACTIVE Day! As a result you will need to be able to:
Push, pull, bend, squat, turn, pivot, transfer and lift at least 50 pounds
Repeatedly exit and enter the vehicle to assist members with on- and off-boarding.
- Able to pass required physical exams including Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.
- Successful results of background check, motor vehicle report, drug testing and any other state-specific requirements.
