About Us:
Active Deployment Systems (ADS) is a dynamic and rapidly growing company specializing in rapid deployment life support services. With recent large contract awards and ongoing expansion, ADS is seeking a skilled and experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to oversee financial operations for our organization and other entities under common ownership and control.
The Role:
The Internal CPA will oversee all aspects of financial management for ADS and other entities under common ownership and control, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, compliance, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. This role is pivotal to ensuring accurate and efficient financial operations, supporting strategic decision-making, and enhancing the overall financial health of these organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll processes, across all entities.
- Ensure accurate allocation and tracking of charges, costs, and expenses between ADS and other entities under common ownership and control.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and update financial records in QuickBooks, optimizing its use for business needs.
- Develop and monitor internal financial controls and processes to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Prepare for and liaise with external auditors, ensuring smooth audits and compliance reporting.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decisions by leadership.
- Supervise and mentor accounting support staff, fostering professional growth and efficiency.
- Oversee the management of company credit cards, reconciliations, and expense tracking.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in accounting workflows.
What We’re Looking For:
- CPA certification required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting or financial management experience, preferred.
- Expertise in QuickBooks, with a demonstrated ability to optimize its features for reporting and operations.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, external auditors, and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
