We seek a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our expanding healthcare team, serving the Parrish, North River Ranch, and Lakewood Ranch areas. As the only MOBILE residential healthcare service in the region. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing a seamless patient experience as our business continues to grow. This position requires strong clinical skills, including proficiency in taking vital signs, administering medications, and a thorough understanding of medical procedures and patient care protocols. Flexibility is essential, as the role involves travel to residential locations. Compensation is offered on a 1099 contract basis, with competitive pay per patient visit exceeding the typical hourly wage. Perfect for a retired medical assistant or registered nurse looking to make money on the side.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort.
- Administer medications as directed by the physician or nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage electronic health records (EHR).
- Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations within the facility.
- Support urgent care operations by triaging patients effectively.
- Demonstrate knowledge of physiology to assist in patient assessments.
- Assisting the provider and patient with communication.
-Ability to have basic math skills and take payment.
Requirements
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent experience is preferred. Perfect for a retired medical assistant or registered nurse.
- Experience in Medical-surgical, home health, or urgent care.
- Proficient in medication administration and understanding.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Knowledge of urgent care practices and procedures is beneficial.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be able to pass background checks and adhere to all healthcare regulations.
