Job Title: Attendant Care Assistant
FLSA Classification: Hourly/Non-Exempt
Reports To: Program Director and Attendant Care Supervisor
Position Summary:
Active Life ADHC LLC Care Administrators assist with both office and field responsibilities, including answering phones, data entry, clerical duties, performing home-visits for prospective clients, assistance with inter-departmental communications and other responsibilities as directed by the Program Director. Traveling outside of the area might also be a necessity to accept new clients outside of Bowling Green.
Must be an experienced problem solver and communicator with an ability to effectively manage time and multiple priorities.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer services skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Interest and desire to work with seniors and other adults with and without special needs
- Satisfactory references, criminal background check, drug screen and alcohol test, and clear TB test
- Great communication skills
- Exceptional computer skills; experience is with Excel and Word is required.
- Data entry experience
- Must be an experienced problem solver that easily adapts and succeeds in a variety of situations.
Background checks and pre-employment drug testing is required. You must have a driver’s license, reliable transportation, and car insurance in your name or as a listed driver.
Responsibilities:
Daily Tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Monitor and manage the electronic visit verification system. Follow-up when necessary for corrections.
- Complete quality calls to ensure fraud prevention and client satisfaction.
- Organize and audit client charts. Communicate with case managers for additional needed documentation. Ensure that all information on file is up to date and that all previous information that must be held on site is stored away in an organized fashion.
- Assistance with answering the phone, directing calls to other departments, taking messages for other team members.
- Ensure general organization of the office. 56
- Be a general point of contact for all caregivers in the Attendant Care department. Assist with any issues and provide direction and communication between team members and other departments. Must be comfortable communicating with some staff members via translators.
- Regularly review and respond to department emails (at least once per 24 hours, most likely more frequently).
- Orientation for new Attendant Care department staff members; new staff members will generally be in-home caregivers.
- Assist with making schedules for client assignments.
- Participate in management and team meetings as well as host a bi-annual conference for all caregivers.
- Participant in Patient Center Service Plan meetings for new clients and their case manager either in person or remotely by dialing in. Prepare notes detailing services needed by the client and a prospective schedule to submit to the hiring department so that a caregiver may be on-boarded. Confirm acceptance of new clients with the case manager.
- Manage various spreadsheets tracking department information. Must have working knowledge with Microsoft Excel and Word and be able to accept data and decide how to best organize within a given spreadsheet.
- Engage with clients and be available to facilitate and Plan of Care changes.
- Assist the Program Director and any direct supervisor with any other miscellaneous daily tasks.

Works with a range of adult clients of various ages with multiple types of health care needs. Ability to listen attentively and speak clearly and distinctly in receiving and responding to inquiries.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Training and certification in First Aide, DAIL training, and CPR prior to the first day of independent work and recertification as required. Annually each employee must have a PPD test or be determined to be free of symptoms of tuberculosis if there was a previous positive PPD.
