Key responsibilities
A business development director will do a variety of the following:
The company intends to open several locations per year for the next several years. The successful candidate will recommend new locations, negotiate leases, coordinate with local authorities for permits, coordinate paint and signage on buildings and vehicles, hire and train local customer service managers.
Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to identify and capitalize on new markets and business opportunities.
Cultivate and manage relationships with potential clients, partners, and distributors to enhance relationship management and secure strategic partnerships.
Prepare RFPs (requests for proposals), business presentations, and other materials to support business development activities.
Qualifications and skills
To be considered for the role of business development director, candidates should have:
A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
A strong track record of success in a business development manager or related role, with a strong business acumen.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, distributors, and potential clients.
Strong problem-solving abilities and experience working with cross-functional teams to achieve business growth.
Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, and other industry-specific tools for managing client relationships.

Salary: $125,000 and up commensurate with experience
