Job Summary

Duties
- Process and submit medical billing claims to insurance companies and government payers.
- Review patient records for accuracy and completeness before billing.
- Utilize coding systems such as ICD-9 and ICD-10 to ensure correct coding of diagnoses and procedures.
- Manage accounts receivable, including following up on unpaid claims and conducting medical collections as necessary.
- Maintain organized medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies in patient information or billing issues.
- Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations, coding practices, and payer requirements.
Skills
- Proficiency in medical billing processes and systems.
