Injection Molding Process Technician

Schedule : Monday-Friday, 5 : 45am-2 : 15pm

Location : Miami, FL 33169

Pay : $23-$25 / hour depending on experience

Job Summary :

Setup and adjust injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment. Set machine controls to regulate molding temperature, volume, pressure, times, cores, back pressures according to knowledge of plastics and molding procedures. Assists mold installer and molding department employees.

Job Responsibilities :

• Reports any discrepancies and / or issues, including violations of company policy, within the department to the Department Supervisor.
• Acts as a liaison between Management and plastics injection workers on an as-needed basis.
• Regular attendance is a requirement that is key to performing the job.
• Must know correct injection mold and machine set-up.
• Must know injection mold machine adjustments and their functions.
• Must be proficient with hand tools.
• Must be able to perform simple measurements and math.
• Must know plastics material dryer setup and their functions.
• Must know plastics grinding materials and their functions.
• Communicates effectively with other molding employees.
• Must maintain accurate records and setup information.
• Can identify and correct quality issues quickly.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Education and / or Experience :

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Must have at least three (3) years of experience in injection molding.
• Experience on Arburg, HPM, and Van Dorn Demag Injection Molding machines.
