Tool Maker & Die Maker

Location : Miami, FL

Pay Rate : Starting at $25 / hour and up (depending on experience)

Hours :

• Monday - Friday, 5am-1 : 30pm

Job Summary :

Constructs and repairs plastic molds, die cast dies, trim dies, and stamping dies to engineering standards.

• Responsibilities :
• Studies blueprints of parts, mold design / die design, and plans sequence of operation.
• Performs mold maintenance tasks as required.
• Operates tool room equipment at a high level of competency including manual surface grinders and mills.
• Adheres to all company safety procedures and maintains a clean work area.
• Reads measuring and testing instruments.
• Sets up and operates metal working machinery of all types to produce mold / die components.
• Polishes, finish, grinds, and assembles molds and dies.
• Verifies conformance of molds and dies to blueprint specifications.
• Other duties such as mold / die repair may be assigned.

Education and / or Experience :

• High school diploma or general education degree
• or vocational school diploma
• or equivalent combination of experience and education
• Must have previous experience as a mold / die maker and be skilled in the operation of lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and other related equipment.
• EDM and CNC experience.
• Must be able to repair or revise tools as needed.
• Knowledge of metal cutting machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control for the effe tive manufacture of metal parts.
• Completion of an accredited toolmaker apprenticeship program.

• Tool / Die / Mold Repair Skills
• Tool / Die / Mold Setup Experience
• Blueprint Reading

Machines & technologies you'll use :

• EDM Machine (Sinker)
• CNC Lathe (2-4 axis)
