Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Elixir Engineer to play a key role in scaling and enhancing our TrustedForm offering, which processes 15k user events per second and handles terabytes of data daily. You’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining highly available and high-performance Elixir applications while ensuring system reliability and scalability.
While the role is primarily backend-focused (Elixir/Phoenix), experience with JavaScript and Vue.js is a strong plus. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with other engineers in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Primary Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Elixir applications with Phoenix, PostgreSQL, and AWS
- Translate business requirements into well-tested, maintainable, and reliable software solutions
- Ensure system scalability, performance, and reliability in a high-traffic production environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technologies across the platform and improve system architecture
- Participate in decision-making processes to drive technical improvements and best practices
- 3 years of Elixir development experience (OTP and Phoenix framework)
- Experience working on high-traffic, highly concurrent applications
- Strong understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, and backend architecture
- Ability to make technical trade-offs and contribute to key engineering decisions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams
- Familiarity with JavaScript and ability to maintain a JS codebase
- Experience with Vue.js
- Experience with queueing systems
- Experience handling large-scale data stores
