Job Description :
We are seeking a Data Scientist with a passion for gameplay to join our team on a temporary 12-month assignment .
You will tackle a variety of challenges related to weapon balancing, map design, spawn systems, and mode rulesets within Call of Duty.
Your work will directly influence game design and player experience.
Key Responsibilities :
- Proactively perform data exploration to understand player behavior and identify opportunities for improving gameplay and player experience
- Partner with cross-functional teams to prioritize areas of opportunity to drive engagement, player experience and enable easier experimentation
- Develop novel analytics to qualitatively deduce and draw conclusions from player behavioral data that directly influences game design, play balance, and retention of our live titles.
- Collaborate with studio and engineering teams to ensure smooth and timely instrumentation of gameplay measures.
- Develop and monitor operational metrics to track the health of gameplay and player experience within Call of Duty.
- Measure the impact of tuning and balancing changes through experimentation and causal inference to fuel recommendations.
- Democratize and socialize learnings by contributing to a centralized repository that informs future game design and is carried across titles and franchises.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $71,300.00 - $131,906.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
