What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lot Attendant position at Acton Toyota of Littleton?
PURPOSE:
To arrange vehicles on the lot to keep a display that is neat, orderly and clean to maximize the delivery of a quality product at a quality level, also verifies the receipt of vehicles delivered to the dealership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

· Organize and maintain the display of new and used inventory for sale; separate inventory by make mode, preowned, certified, value lot, etc.
· Document all vehicles coming into the dealership from deliveries
· Verify serial numbers against invoices when a truck load of vehicles arrives
· Inspect vehicles to detect damage and to verify the presence of accessories listed on the invoice, such as spare tires, jack, radio, antenna, stereo equipment, loose items, etc.
· Ensure all standard items for new vehicles are present (i.e., manuals, 2nd set of keys, etc.)
· Record the description of damages and list missing items on the delivery receipt and report any damage to the Service manager and new car sales manager
· Park new vehicles in assigned areas and take paperwork with keys to the sales office.
· Pick up and deliver vehicles to offsite storage lots
· Advise Used Car Manager of any noted problems with used vehicles (i.e. check engine lights)
· Start all vehicles periodically, check for dead batteries and recharge any that are dead.
· Check vehicles on the lot to make sure they are locked, and no damage has been done
· Report any damage to vehicles in inventory to a manager immediately
· Move vehicles as directed by supervisor in accordance with dealership display standards; fill holes in inventory, straighten rows, relocate service vehicles, etc.
· Ensure vehicles are displayed properly; facing the right direction, grouped with the same models, etc.
· Program fresh trade keys to the key Trac system; file spare keys into deal jackets
· Deliver damaged vehicles to the body shop; pick up vehicle when complete
· Pull wholesale vehicles out of inventory and stage for pick up
· Place certified stickers and flags on applicable used vehicles
· Make sure the front lot is full and all used cars and trucks have year stickers and license plates
· Ensure vehicles are gassed up; fill at dealership pump when necessary
· Pick up trash off lot & put in dumpsters.
· Keep the customer parking area clear and accessible
- Current, valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- This position requires the ability to bend, kneel, walk or stand for long periods of time in all types of weather
