What are the responsibilities and job description for the Branch Manager position at Acts Fleet Maintenance?
The Branch Manager is to assign and direct all work performed in the branch and to supervise all areas of the operation.
A hands-on approach, committed to the expansion and success of the business by implementing strategies that increase productivity and enable the achievement of sales goals, while complying with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., Safety, OSHA, HazMat, and DOT.
Knowledgeable about safe work practices, policies, and procedures, and performs all duties in a safe manner.
Responsibilities:
- Providing leadership for all team members of facility by sharing wisdom and knowledge for best business practices. Overseeing implementation of current business practices and improvements as approved by the company President.
- Business operations management of daily activities including inventory and ordering of parts and supplies; scheduling for coordinating repairs, preventative maintenance appointments, and employees scheduled to maintain the most efficient and profitable workflow.
- Ensuring the highest level of customer service is provided to each customer from all employees within facility, providing guidance and leadership for other team members within facility and/or bringing attention to management for opportunities of improvements.
- Making cold calls to potentially acquire new business
- Visiting potential customers to gain accounts
- Development of new business by contacting potential business and create proposals for fleet maintenance contractual agreements, discovering and exploring opportunities and analyzing deal requirements. Maintain report of prospect customers and updates weekly.
- Set up new customers by coordinating requirements and communication with corporate office and president; developing and negotiating contracts as needed with customers; integrating contract requirements with business operations, staffing and inventory of parts.
- Maintain and updating a continuity binder with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all task and operations.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Maintains the proper flow of workload in the shop.
- Leads daily shift meeting and enforces safety and productivity.
- Conducts Annual Evaluation and 30/60/90 Day Reviews for branch employees.
- Keeps up with the vehicle maintenance reports.
- Maintains a Profit Loss report.
- Maintains high volume of sales and low cost.
