Role Summary:
The Per-Diem Director of Nursing will oversee per-diem nurses, ensuring strategic coverage for new client assessments and reassessments while maintaining accurate and timely documentation in Swft Ops and other systems. This role involves liaising with the recruitment team to ensure a well-distributed, compliant nursing team in key locations that support the agency’s operational goals. Experience in home healthcare, compliance, and team leadership is essential, along with flexibility and an understanding of clinical care in a homecare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Oversight: Manage per-diem nursing operations, ensuring all care aligns with the company's policies and standards.
- Nurse Staffing and Coverage: Ensure the agency maintains adequate nursing coverage for client assessments and reassessments, coordinating with the recruitment team to source nurses in strategically important locations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Oversee documentation to ensure all assessments are accurately recorded in Swft Ops and other agency platforms, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance to the per-diem nursing staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, compassionate care, and teamwork.
- Quality Assurance: Regularly review assessment documentation, clinical processes, and nursing performance to uphold high-quality care delivery.
- Compliance and Safety: Support the agency’s compliance initiatives, ensuring all practices meet state and local homecare regulations.
- Hiring: Liaise with the recruitment team to screen and onboard new nurses for the agency.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years including home health care with experience in case management. Knowledge of Swft Ops and Joint Commission experience is a plus.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, attention to detail in documentation, and a solid understanding of caregiver recruitment and compliance.
- Certifications: Active RN (Registered Nurse) license in the state of NJ.
- Attributes: Highly organized, proactive in managing clinical staff and ensuring compliance, with a focus on accurate and efficient documentation practices.
- Requirements: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Work Flexibility: Able to work per-diem with flexibility, including occasional weekend availability. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team virtually.
