Sales Engineer -Business Development

Job Summary

The Sales Rep at Japanese company plays a vital role that combines technical knowledge and sales skills to provide the best magnetic products and solutions to customers. This role requires understanding customers' technical requirements, offering suitable product solutions, assisting with implementation, and providing post-sales support. Additionally, the Sales will be responsible for building relationships with clients, executing sales strategies, and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Relationship Management

o Develop new customer accounts and strengthen relationships with existing clients.

o Maintain regular communication with clients to understand their needs and requirements.

2. Product Proposal and Technical Support

o Analyze customer technical requirements and recommend suitable magnetic products or solutions.

o Provide prompt technical support during product implementation and troubleshoot as needed.

o Advise on optimal product application throughout customers' development processes.

3. Project Management

o Manage and report on sales project progress, ensuring smooth project execution with customers.

o Coordinate with sales and manufacturing teams to support product delivery and quality control.

4. Market and Competitor Analysis

o Research market trends and competitor products, incorporating findings into sales strategies.

o Gather market intelligence to support product improvement and new product development, sharing insights with relevant teams.

5. Achievement of Sales Targets

o Establish and achieve sales targets based on sales plans.

o Contribute to revenue growth by developing and implementing effective sales strategies.

Qualifications

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field (required). A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sales Engineer in the magnetic products or related field.
  • Technical Knowledge : Strong knowledge of magnetic products (e.g., neodymium magnets, samarium cobalt magnets) and their applications.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Other Skills : Strong problem-solving abilities, teamwork skills, and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Language : Business proficiency in both English and Japanese is preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in sales or engineering is advantageous.
  • Project management experience.
