The Opportunity
As the UTM Program Manager, you will assist the Project Executive in day-to-day execution, and ensure that the growth and progress of the project is tracked and aligned with the business strategy. You will need to understand and advocate for the product, the business case, and the system environment to both internal and external audiences. You will be the lead interface with the multiple contractors, vendors, companies, research institutes, universities and other external partners. Critically, you will ensure that efforts are coordinated and integrated across our global UTM team in order to achieve the project objectives.
Responsibilities
- Provide clarity to stakeholders and team members on current project state
- Implement program management for planning, schedule and cost
- Coordinate, integrate and align work with remote and global UTM team members
- Aggressively pursue program-specific tasks and issues identified by the Project Executive to conclusion
- Negotiate contracts, manage vendors and subscriptions
- Oversee the work performance of external project partners
- Assist with tracking project budget expenses and milestone accomplishments
- Manage accruals and tracking actual spend, including opening and managing purchase orders
- Produce documentation in multiple formats to support project needs including milestone, monthly, and quarterly reports
- Support the identification of internal goals/needs
- Support the identification of appropriate external partners (Airbus and Industry)
- Lead the program activities of new initiatives within the UTM space
Requirements
- You have 4-6 years of experience in consulting, program management or business operations
- Excellent communication skills (strong coordination and relational skills to deal with customers, authorities, internal and external partners)
- Experience with leading diverse teams (overseas exposure is ideal)
- Experience with software development teams, using agile methods, tools, and applying best practices
- Familiarity with program management tools
- You have an interest in turning aerospace innovations into business opportunities
Bonus Qualifications
- You have experience in aviation, aerospace, and/or air traffic management
- You have experience in a high-growth startup
- You know multiple languages (Spanish, French)
- You have familiarity with JIRA
- You have a PMP Certification
- You are familiar with ISO audits
