As we continue to grow, we are seeking an HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, this full-time role will be responsible for HR administration, benefits management, recruitment coordination, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures. This position will include the following responsibilities and day-to-day functions but is not limited to:
HR Support & Administration:
- Maintain accurate HR records, employee files, and HRIS data.
- Assist with employee onboarding, including new hire documentation, background checks, and orientation.
- Support compliance with employment laws, policies, and procedures.
- Provide administrative support in HR projects and initiatives.
Payroll Processing & Benefits Administration:
- Assist with payroll audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state wage laws.
- Review time and attendance records to ensure proper payroll execution.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, updates, and responding to inquiries.
- Provide guidance to employees on HR policies, benefits, and programs.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
- Lead local and foreign recruitment efforts, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating new hire onboarding.
- Assist in the settlement process for foreign recruits, including logistics such as housing and transportation.
- Support the development and implementation of employee retention strategies.
Health & Safety Support:
- Travel to production sites to conduct safety audits and ensure OSHA & PQA compliance.
- Assist in maintaining and enforcing OSHA workplace safety policies.
- Support workplace injury investigations, safety audits, and incident tracking.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state safety regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- 1-3 years of experience in an HR role.
- A degree or diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration (or equivalent work experience).
- Payroll processing experience and knowledge of U.S. wage and labor laws.
- Experience with HRIS and time-tracking systems (familiarity with Paycor, ADP, Dayforce, or similar HRIS- time tracking payroll platforms is an asset).
- Knowledge or experience in OSHA workplace safety policies and compliance is a plus.
- Experience conducting safety audits and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a team-oriented approach.
- Capable of handling confidential, sensitive, and personal information,
- Strong organizational skills with superior attention to detail,
- Self-starter with a strong sense of accountability and adaptability,
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is considered an asset.
- Candidates located in or near Breese, Illinois, would be ideal, as our corporate office is based there.
- Ability to travel across different AcuFast locations in US, as needed.
