What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Technician-Full Time Day and Night Shift position at Acuity Healthcare LP?
Assist patients with activities of daily living, provide basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients, and assist in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. Perform those tasks within scope of practice upon completion of clinical competency for the specific task.
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION)
- BLS by completion of classroom orientation
- Ability to deal with high stress environment
- Ability to speak, read and write English
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Successful completion of Nurse Aide course
- Relevant, proven PCT or therapy experience in direct patient care
- Ability to work in a demanding situation, changing focus of work due to changing priorities
