The Vice President of Technology at Acuity is a key executive leadership role responsible for driving the company's technology strategy, innovation, and business development. The VP will serve as both a strategic leader and a client-facing executive, collaborating with senior leadership, technology teams, and business development units to deliver cutting-edge technology solutions that meet client needs and drive revenue growth.

This position may require occasional travel to meet with clients, attend industry events, or collaborate with remote teams. Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Technology Vision

  • Develop and execute the overall technology strategy for the company, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and business objectives.
  • Lead the development and execution of innovative technology solutions tailored to client needs and market demands.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, positioning the organization as a leader in delivering forward-thinking technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and prioritize technology initiatives that support business objectives and drive growth.


Business Development & Client Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and decision-makers to understand their mission, vision, and technical requirements.
  • Develop tailored business and technology plans that directly align with the customer’s goals, priorities, and strategic objectives.
  • Partner with the sales and capture teams to identify new business opportunities, manage client relationships, and drive business growth.
  • Lead technical proposals, participate in sales meetings, and provide expert advice to clients, ensuring that technology solutions meet their needs and exceed expectations.
  • Analyze competitive landscapes and develop differentiated strategies to win business, applying knowledge of customer needs and industry trends.
  • Utilize Salesforce and other tools to track business opportunities, manage forecasts, and ensure accurate reporting.


Team Leadership & Operational Excellence

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of technology professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee technology operations, ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of infrastructure and systems.
  • Evaluate and enhance operational processes and procedures to improve efficiency and standardize delivery across projects.
  • Partner with Recruiting and HR for recruitment, retention, and professional development of technology talent to build a world-class team.
  • Ensure strong cross-functional collaboration between technology, operations, and business development teams to deliver high-quality solutions to clients.


Sales Support & Technical Expertise

  • Provide technical leadership in business development activities, supporting sales teams with technical presentations, solution design, and proposal development.
  • Assist in the creation of technical documentation, whitepapers, and proposals to support business growth efforts.
  • Work closely with clients to assess technical requirements and ensure seamless implementation and delivery of technology solutions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in the organization, providing advice and guidance on complex technical challenges and ensuring the success of client engagements.


Innovation & Research

  • Lead initiatives to integrate emerging technologies into the organization's offerings, ensuring that Acuity stays at the forefront of innovation.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous learning within the technology team, encouraging new approaches and technologies to address client needs.
  • Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and research institutions to identify new opportunities for growth and technological advancement.


Risk Management & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, security standards, and best practices related to technology and data management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate technology risks and protect the organization’s information assets.
  • Oversee audits and assessments to ensure that all technology systems and processes meet organizational and regulatory requirements.


Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree in business or technology management is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in technology leadership, project management, or cybersecurity are a plus.


Experience

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in technology leadership, with at least 5 years at senior leadership position.
  • Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing technology teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong business development experience, particularly in federal government or large enterprise sectors, with a history of driving growth through innovative technology solutions.
  • Experience managing large, complex projects and budgets, with a deep understanding of technology infrastructure, software development, and operational management.
  • Demonstrated success in building relationships with key clients and stakeholders, and in translating client needs into actionable technology solutions.

  • Expertise in strategic planning, project management, and technology solution architecture.
  • Deep understanding of federal acquisition processes, US Government funding cycles, and competitive assessments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and manage client expectations.
  • Results-driven, with a proven ability to meet and exceed business growth targets and performance objectives.
  • Strong understanding of technology trends, security practices, and regulatory requirements.

Clearance Requirement

  • Must be US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
