Position Overview:
The Integration and Test Engineer will coordinate and integrate multiple IT systems/subsystems into an operational unit, ensuring full functional and performance capabilities are retained. Introduce new hardware or software into a new or existing environment while minimizing disruption and mitigating risks. Possess medium level skills within this specialty. This position focuses on ensuring the successful integration, testing, and validation of the Enterprise OPIR Solution (EOS) as a foundational prototype for modular, extensible, and operationally resilient ground processing capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- System Integration: Plan, coordinate, and execute the integration of EOS components with FORGE Mission Data Processing Application Framework (MDPAF), Mission Data Processing Application Providers (MDPAP), and Legacy SBIRS Sensor Specific Processing (SSP) systems.
- Testing and Validation: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and scenarios to validate the EOS solution against performance, functional, and security requirements.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with internal and external teams, including contractors and Government stakeholders, to ensure compatibility and integration of cross-functional capabilities.
- Technical Analysis: Identify and troubleshoot technical issues related to system integration and testing, providing recommendations for resolution and improvements.
- Requirements Verification: Ensure EOS requirements are met by thoroughly documenting and tracking testing outcomes and verifying system functionality.
- Cybersecurity Compliance: Implement testing strategies and methodologies that align with cybersecurity requirements and best practices.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of integration and testing activities, and provide regular progress reports to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project milestones.
Position Requirements:
- Clearance: Must possess a Secret security clearance and eligible to obtain a Top Secret clearance with SCI.
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
- 1-4 years of experience in integration and testing of complex systems, preferably in space or defense programs.
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with ground systems development and integration, including modular and extensible architectures.
- Proficiency in developing and executing test plans, procedures, and reporting for mission-critical systems.
- Knowledge of space-based infrared systems, missile warning systems, or similar technologies is highly desired.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and secure systems development.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical information effectively.
- Ability to collaborate in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment and manage competing priorities.
- Highly Desired:
- Experience with FORGE programs or related Department of Defense (DoD) ground systems.
- Knowledge of Government-owned technical baselines and integration of contractor-provided solutions.
- Familiarity with Agile development and test methodologies.
