Brief Job Description : Acuity Innovations is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team. The Systems Engineer will provide critical engineering expertise to support the development, integration, and deployment of the Space Development Agencys (SDA) Tranche 3 Program Integration (T3PI) effort of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA). This role will focus on spacecraft, payloads, ground systems, and launch integration, ensuring that all components align with the operational goals and mission objectives of the PWSA. The Systems Engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver technical solutions that enhance resilience, operational readiness, and mission effectiveness for the Joint Warfighter.
Responsibilities :
Systems Engineering : Provide technical expertise and oversight for the design, development, and integration of spacecraft, payloads, ground systems, and launch vehicles within the PWSA framework.Requirements Analysis : Analyze and validate system requirements, ensuring alignment with SDAs mission objectives and Tranche 3 program goals.Integration and Testing : Support integration activities for space vehicles and ground systems, ensuring seamless interoperability and mission readiness.Technical Support : Provide engineering support for payload and spacecraft design, development, and testing, including system performance analysis and risk assessments.Launch Integration : Collaborate with launch providers and stakeholders to ensure successful integration and deployment of PWSA spacecraft and payloads.Problem Solving : Identify and resolve technical challenges related to system integration, testing, and deployment, ensuring adherence to schedules and performance requirements.Collaboration : Work closely with Government stakeholders, contractors, and cross-functional teams to ensure coordinated engineering efforts across all components of the PWSA.Documentation : Develop and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including technical reports, design reviews, and integration plans.Continuous Improvement : Recommend enhancements to engineering processes and tools to optimize system performance, resilience, and maintainability.Required Skills & Experiences :
Education & Experience :Bachelors degree in systems engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on spacecraft, payloads, ground systems, or launch integration.Technical Skills :Proficiency in systems engineering tools and methodologies, including requirements analysis, integration, and testing.Knowledge of spacecraft and payload design, development, and testing processes.Familiarity with ground systems architecture and launch integration practices.Understanding of risk management, performance analysis, and system validation techniques.Soft Skills :Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information effectively.Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, multidisciplinary environments.Preferred Skills & Experiences :
Masters degree in computer science or a related field.Experience supporting SDA, PWSA, or related Department of Defense (DoD) space programs.Familiarity with Tranche 3 program goals, including enhancements in missile warning, tracking, and tactical data links.Knowledge of autonomous systems, resilience strategies, and emerging space technologies.Experience with Agile systems engineering practices.Clearance : Eligible for Top Secret w / SCI
