Job Description:
Acuity Innovations is seeking a Test and Evaluation Engineer to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. You must be authorized to work in the US and able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance for this position.
The Test and Evaluation Engineer will support the development of test schedule, test plans, test objectives, test measures, and evaluation criteria.
The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Air Force’s Space and Missiles System Center. We support the Air Force’s acquisition of state of the art Military Satellite Communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems.
Responsibilities:
- Developing T&E strategy, Test and Evaluation Master Plan‐Development Evaluation Framework, requirement verification and test plans, test objectives, test methodology, and evaluation criteria
- Collecting, reviewing, analyzing, and reporting T&E data
- Supporting implementation of common Test and Evaluation database for the program
- Supporting development of DoD compliant deficiency reporting and resolution system
- Supporting T&E reviews, audits, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Deficiency Review Boards (DRBs), Materiel Improvement Process Review Boards (MIPRBs), and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs)
- Position requires travel to DoD and contractor test sites (up to 25% per year)
Required Skills & Experiences:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
- 2 years demonstrated experience in leading multi‐faceted tests and test project teams, to include oversight of scheduling
- 5 years test and evaluation experience with DoD/USAF test processes and documentation
- Strong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills
- Capable in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- You must be authorized to work in the US and able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance for this position
Preferred Skills & Experiences:
- 5‐15 years’ experience in systems engineering
- 5‐15 years’ experience in DoD and commercial SATCOM and network engineering
- 5‐15 years’ experience with military space systems and protected MILSATCOM systems
- 5‐15 years’ experience with ground systems, such as terminals and networks
- Familiar with AFMAN 63‐119 and AFI 99‐103
- Knowledge of AEHF
- Technical Master’s Degree
- Experience with PEO Certification process
Clearance:
- All applicants selected will be subject to a background check and a security investigation and will need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Salary : $70,000 - $116,000
