Market Strategy Portfolio Director

Acuity is seeking a Market Strategy Portfolio Manager to effectively manage Acuity’s portfolio of key initiatives across both Commercial Lines and Personal Lines for the Market Strategy team. This role requires a blend planning and execution to ensure initiatives are aligned with Acuity’s growth, profitability, operational efficiency, and satisfaction goals for both customers and agents. Beyond tracking progress, this role involves active management, guidance, and adjustment of portfolio priorities in response to evolving insights, resources, and feedback from leadership.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Manage the complete lifecycle of the portfolio, actively steering each initiative to meet Acuity’s overarching objectives.
• Prioritize projects based on strategic impact, resource needs, and speed to delivery while making real time adjustments to maximize portfolio value.
• Guide portfolio of work to optimize organizational impact and adapt to changing market needs.
• Deliver comprehensive portfolio health reports, highlighting progress, impact, and alignment with strategic goals.
• Close collaboration with stakeholders to understand initiatives and projects, regular engagement with leadership and stakeholders to provide insights, solicit feedback, and communicate the “why” behind project direction.
• Foster ongoing dialogue, aligning expectations, addressing concerns, and ensuring the portfolio of work reflects strategic objectives.
• Balance oversight with tactical execution, ensuring each project advances in alignment with strategic priorities.
• Work hand in hand with Regional Market Directors, Product Leads, and Market Analysts to ensure portfolio initiatives align with marketplace objectives.
• Coordinate across the functional areas of the organization to incorporate cross functional insights and wholistic portfolio outcomes.
• Manage and report on accountability of initiative ownership, helping owners and stakeholders to navigate challenges and ensure delivery of product value.
• Highly regular and predictable attendance.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree and extensive experience.

EXPERIENCE:

Proficiency in in agile methodologies and project management preferred; certifications in Agile or PM are a plus. Strong skills in data analysis, effective communication, and decision making, with the ability to synthesize insights and influence at all levels. Experience managing complex, high impact portfolios within a dynamic and cross-functional environment to drive alignment and support informed decision making.

This job is classified as exempt.

The salary range for this position is $145,000-175,000 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
