Job Title: Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Wound Care Specialty

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioner with a specialized focus in wound care to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with complex wounds, ensuring effective treatments and optimal healing outcomes. As a vital member of our healthcare team, the NP will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to offer comprehensive wound care services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including wound evaluations, and develop individualized care plans.
- Manage and treat patients with a variety of wound conditions, such as pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, and surgical wounds.
- Perform wound debridement, dressing changes, and other wound care procedures as necessary.
- Monitor wound healing progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families about wound care techniques, prevention, and the importance of maintaining good health for optimal wound healing.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab results relevant to wound care and management.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in wound care treatments and best practices.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
- Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in Idaho
- Board Certification in Adult-Gerontology, Family Nurse Practitioner, or a related specialty.
- Wound care certification (WCC, CWCN, or equivalent) preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in wound care management is highly desirable.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to educate and support patients and families effectively.
- BLS/CPR certification required.
