What are the responsibilities and job description for the Claims Manager position at Acumen Group?
A growing Insurance and Reinsurance client of ours is looking to bring on a Claims Manager to help expand their property insurance solutions in the Florida Market.
Requirements:
- Claims Oversight: Manage and oversee the entire claims process for property and casualty insurance, ensuring claims are processed efficiently and fairly, experience needed specifically in Florida market
- Claims Evaluation: Review and analyze complex claims to determine coverage, liability, and appropriate settlement amounts
- Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing client concerns and providing timely communication regarding claims status
- Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of the claims department budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPCU, AIC, or similar)
- 5-7 years of experience in property and casualty insurance claims, at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Proven experience in managing complex claims, including high-value or catastrophic losses
