Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated System Administrator to join our team and support the organization's IT infrastructure. Reporting to the IT Manager, you will ensure system performance, stability, and security while maintaining high standards of service delivery. The ideal candidate is adaptable, collaborative, detail-oriented, and has a solid foundation in IT system administration and support.
Duties and Responsibilities
System and Network Administration
Maintain and troubleshoot LANs, WANs, network segments, and internet systems.
Configure and manage network devices, including switches, routers, VLANs, and wireless access points.
Ensure efficient operation of systems and network infrastructure, supporting IPV4 / IPV6 protocols.
IT Support and Maintenance
Monitor system performance, health, and availability.
Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
Conduct regular system patching and updates to ensure security and reliability.
Security and Compliance
Apply security best practices to protect systems and data.
Monitor and address potential vulnerabilities while adhering to industry compliance standards like PCI.
Cloud and Infrastructure Management
Support cloud infrastructure using services like AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM).
Assist with infrastructure as code using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
Backup and Disaster Recovery
Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery processes.
Ensure regular backups of critical systems and data.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations and processes.
Provide reports on system performance, security, and compliance.
Collaboration and Training
Work with clients or project managers to implement tailored IT solutions.
Provide training and guidance to users on new systems and security protocols.
Success Metrics
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality implementations on time.
Effective team collaboration and communication.
Requirements : Qualifications
2-3 years of experience in system administration.
Proficiency in Linux, MS Windows, and basic networking concepts (LAN / WAN, firewalls, routers).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Basic knowledge of AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, IAM).
Understanding of system security practices and compliance standards.
Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Prometheus, or similar).
Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Bash.
Exposure to tools like Jira, Confluence, or MFA platforms.
Work Timings
3 PM – 12 AM IST
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security , Cisco CCNA, or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
