What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Technician to join our team, specializing in the deployment of pre-configured network, firewall, and server equipment. This position will require hands-on expertise in running and terminating network cabling, installing and connecting pre-configured hardware, and ensuring high-quality service delivery at customer locations, including restaurants, convenience stores, and retail environments.
As a Field Technician, you will play a critical role in deploying secure and reliable IT infrastructure at various locations. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities :
- Deploy pre-configured network, firewall, and server equipment according to project specifications and customer requirements.
- Perform structured cabling tasks, including pulling, running, terminating, and testing Ethernet and fiber optic cables.
- Install and connect hardware, ensuring proper functionality and integration with existing infrastructure.
- Conduct site surveys to assess existing infrastructure and determine cabling or equipment needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity or deployment issues during installation.
- Coordinate with internal teams and customers to ensure a smooth deployment process and minimal downtime.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, configurations, and site-specific details.
- Conduct quality checks on installed systems to confirm functionality and adherence to company standards.
- Provide basic end-user support and training for deployed equipment, as needed.
- Follow safety guidelines and best practices when working with electrical systems and cabling in commercial environments.
- Travel to customer locations within an assigned region and complete work on time with minimal supervision.
