What we're looking for:
As a Fulfillment Associate, you will be responsible for assisting with the shipping and receiving processes for Acumera’s products and materials. You will work closely with multiple internal departments, external carriers, and vendors to ensure that shipments are processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with company policies and procedures. Your organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be critical in ensuring efficient shipping and receiving operations. This is an entry level position with opportunity for growth and advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of products or materials against purchase orders, packing slips, or other documentation to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Record and document shipment details, including product descriptions, quantities, and conditions, in the company's inventory management system or other designated software.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments, including labeling, packing, and securing products or materials for transportation, and generating shipping labels or other required documentation.
- Coordinate shipping schedules with internal departments and external carriers to ensure timely and efficient deliveries and pickups.
- Communicate and collaborate with internal teams, such as procurement, production, warehouse, and marketing, to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to shipments or deliveries.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure they are delivered according to schedule, and update relevant parties on any delays or changes to delivery status.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, shipping, and receiving areas, and report any issues to the Warehouse Manager.
- Follow established shipping and receiving procedures, as well as relevant regulations and guidelines, to ensure compliance with federal law, company policies, and industry standards.
- Assist in inventory management tasks, such as cycle counting, stock replenishment, and inventory reconciliation.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline and optimize shipping and receiving operations, and contribute to the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics role.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, including packing, labeling, and documentation requirements.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, shipping software, and other relevant tools or technologies.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to perform calculations related to quantities, weights, and dimensions.
- Ability to lift and move 50 pounds, with or without assistance, and stand or walk for extended periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education or training in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, such as hazardous materials handling, export/import requirements, and transportation regulations.
