Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary Duties:
- Perform setups and operate the press to meet production specifications.
- Conduct daily safety inspections of the press and surrounding area, ensuring a hazard-free workspace.
- Act as a mentor and trainer to Press Assistants and new operators.
- Perform quality and quantity audits to ensure products meet established standards.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and clean the press and ancillary equipment.
- Handle raw materials and finished rolls, including pushing, turning, and wrapping rolls weighing over 1,000 pounds.
- Replace ink buckets (40-50 pounds) and conduct proper cleanup.
- Set up and change press gears, shafts, and webbing of stock materials.
- Use best practices to minimize setup time and waste.
- Enter accurate production data into the ERP system.
Secondary Duties:
- Blend or adjust inks as required.
- Ensure waste ink and oil are disposed of according to standards.
- Assist in new product development and customer meetings as needed.
- Operate auxiliary converting equipment as directed.
QualificationsQualifications:
- Minimum Experience in Flexo press experience (strongly preferred).
- Hands-on experience with CI Flexo (Central Impression) presses.
- Proven experience in Wide Web printing (30" and above, preferably 62").
- Familiarity with machines such as W&H, PCMC, Comexi, F&K, Bobs, Webtron, Achillei.
- Knowledge of water and solvent-based inks (preferred but not required).
- Experience working with diverse materials, including Non-Woven, Paper, Film, and Paperboard.
- Any training or leadership experience is a huge plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Certification
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Forklift certification is mandatory.
Special Requirements:
- Understanding of lockout/tagout procedures.
- Compliance with safety and ethical standards at all times.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
