Key Responsibilities
- Build and enhance custom ABAP programs, reports, and interfaces to support FTZ-related processes.
- Develop enhancements and user exits for SAP SD, LE, and GTS modules, including:
- Export compliance (AES filing, SPL screening)
- Tariff code handling (HTS, ECCN)
- Duty deferral and bonded warehouse flows
- Support the setup and integration of FTZ processes with third-party systems (e.g., Loftware, AES, customs brokers).
- Create custom IDoc segments, BAPIs, and RFCs for trade-related transactions.
- Collaborate with functional SD/GTS leads to translate FTZ requirements into technical specifications.
- Ensure GTS integration and seamless flow between ECC/S4 and customs authorities (e.g., via EDI, IDoc).
- Perform code reviews, performance tuning, and support end-to-end testing (UAT/SIT).
- Help maintain audit compliance in ABAP developments (customs & trade reporting).
- 10 years of SAP ABAP experience including SD, LE, and GTS object developments
- Must have hands-on experience supporting FTZ, bonded warehouses, or international trade flows
- Strong with IDoc/ALE, BAPIs, BADIs, user exits, enhancements, and smart forms
- Experience in GTS integration or enhancements related to AES, SPL, or customs declaration preferred
- Ability to work closely with business users, functional consultants, and compliance teams
- Excellent debugging, performance tuning, and documentation skills
