Job Title: Manager Inventory Control
Salary Range: $91,000 - $116,000 annually, plus bonus eligibility
Summary: The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of inventory control operations, including inbound freight coordination, receiving, put-away, storage strategies, inventory accuracy, and value-added services. This role ensures efficient warehouse operations, maintains inventory integrity, and manages 3PL partnerships while driving process improvements and compliance with company policies.

Summary: The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of inventory control operations, including inbound freight coordination, receiving, put-away, storage strategies, inventory accuracy, and value-added services. This role ensures efficient warehouse operations, maintains inventory integrity, and manages 3PL partnerships while driving process improvements and compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage the daily operations of the Inventory Control department, including all transactions, business process flow, and sequencing and enhancements in support of all business objectives.
- Provide leadership to department team leads, lead associates, and area coordinators. Set performance goals, measure actual performance, provide regular, periodic feedback, and hold subordinate leaders accountable for performance.
- Coach/train subordinate leaders on new/revised processes/systems and ensure performance standards are set and obtained after training period is complete.
- Develop leaders for positions of increased responsibility as appropriate.
- Manage ticketing, GOH (Garment on Hanger) conversion, UOM (Unit of Measure) conversion, and internal transfers.
- Oversee kit inventory assembly and ensure readiness for fulfillment. Monitor movement of custom and personalized orders for Direct To Consumer channel orders. Ensure SLA compliance for custom order processing timeline.
- Manage container and trailer unloading, put-away preparation, and put-away execution. Manage service level agreements (SLA) related to dock-to-stock timelines.
- Review and maintain refined warehouse layout producing increased inventory utilization, enhanced safety and ergonomic procedures, and manpower efficiency improvements.
- Manage design, testing, and business process improvements related to inventory system modules. This includes on-going WMS/Host release upgrade testing and support, enhancements, patch testing, and policy execution.
- Oversee cycle counting, physical inventory, and WMS/Host system reconciliation processes.
- Manage inventory adjustments and review variance reports. Provide regular inventory accuracy and SLA performance reporting.
- Ensure all associates are adequately trained in department safety requirements and that subordinate leaders are actively working to reduce safety risk in daily operations.
- Coordinate with corporate, facility, and other DC department resources in implementing safety and housekeeping programs/policies needed to ensure a safe working environment.
- Coordinate with Brand/Product Group teams to review and disposition SLOB (Slow Moving and Obsolete Inventory). Manage inventory destruction and scrap actions, including freight coordination, inventory write-offs.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Five years' experience in inventory control or distribution operations. A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of Manhattan WMS or similar warehouse management systems required; SAP system experience preferred.
- Experience with 3PL coordination, slotting strategies, and inventory reconciliation. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
