Job Description:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing and maintaining financial transactions, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and providing financial insights to support decision-making. You will work closely with management to ensure the smooth operation of our accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and categorize financial transactions in QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial records.
- Prepare and process invoices, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Maintain general ledger and ensure compliance with company accounting policies.
- Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist in preparing for audits and tax filings.
- Monitor budgets and cash flow to provide insights on financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (required).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Candidates must have proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook to perform essential administrative and organizational tasks effectively.
