Note: This is an administrative role—you won’t be seeing patients in person. Instead, you’ll connect with them over the phone, bringing warmth, trust, and a smile to every interaction. You’ll build meaningful relationships through excellent service and compassionate communication.
What You'll Do:
As a Patient Care Coordinator, you’ll be the essential link between patients, physicians, and our internal team. You’ll guide patients through the wound care supply process - from verifying insurance and obtaining clinical documentation to coordinating with physicians and ensuring timely order fulfillment.
Your goal? To deliver a seamless and supportive experience that leaves patients feeling confident and cared for.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact for patients and healthcare providers regarding new wound care supply orders.
- Communicate with patients primarily by phone - you’re the friendly voice they rely on for updates, education, and support.
- Verify patient benefits and secure necessary prior authorizations from insurance providers.
- Coordinate with physicians to collect required documentation and clinical details.
- Review patient medical records and work with their insurance to determine eligibility based on medical necessity.
- Learn and share knowledge about wound care products and treatment benefits.
- Ensure prescriptions are accurately processed and fulfilled in a timely manner.
- Support a collaborative and team-focused environment where the patient experience comes first.
Who You Are:
- You’ve got 2 years of experience in patient care coordination, healthcare administration, or a related field.
- You’re comfortable with medical terminology and ICD-10 codes.
- You excel at multitasking, prioritizing, and navigating fast-paced environments.
- You’re a strong communicator - especially over the phone.
- You have experience working with medical professionals, insurance providers, or in the DME/medical device space.
- You’re tech-savvy and detail-driven with strong time management and documentation skills.
Preferred Background:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Familiarity with patient care and insurance verification.
- Experience in a clinical liaison or intake specialist role is a plus.

Work Environment:
This position is on-site in an administrative setting. You won’t be working directly with patients in person - all communication is done by phone or email, allowing you to create a meaningful, remote-style connection while supporting care behind the scenes.
