What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Health (OT/ OTA / PT/ PTA) PRN position at Acute Wound Care?
Job Summary: We are looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented individual to instruct patients on how to properly use their medical equipment as prescribed by their physician. In this role, you will conduct initial in-home training sessions, taking at least 45 minutes, where you'll set up the equipment and guide the patient and/or caregiver on its use. You'll also take pre- and post-measurements of upper or lower extremities and complete necessary documentation to be submitted to the main office. Medical experience in lymphedema, venous insufficiency, and wound care is preferred, though training on the equipment will be provided prior to starting employment.

Job Pay: Competitive pay based on experience

Preferred Experience: OT, OTA, PT, PTA, HH, MA, with lymphedema experience
Qualifications:
- Valid Florida state license
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Valid driver’s license, auto liability insurance, and reliable transportation required
- Strong interpersonal skills, flexible, and innovative
- CPR certified (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Biology, Life Sciences, Anatomy, Physiology, or a related field preferred. Consideration may be given to candidates with a high school diploma or GED based on relevant experience (OT, OTA, PT, PTA)
Physical and Working Conditions:
- Frequent travel to patient homes
- Physical effort required, including kneeling, squatting, and reaching to set up medical equipment
- Must be able to effectively teach patients and caregivers about the use of medical equipment
- Evidence of an annual TB test and any other state-required health tests
- Ability to work in varying home environments, which may include exposure to odors, body fluids, and other environmental conditions
