Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing venipuncture and blood sampling with precision and care, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process. This role is critical in supporting clinical laboratory operations and delivering high-quality patient care.

Location: Doctors office in UNION, NJ

9am-3pm every Friday

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and blood sampling procedures on patients with accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to aseptic techniques and laboratory procedures.
• Collect, label, and process blood samples according to established protocols.
• Ensure proper documentation of patient information and sample details in compliance with medical terminology standards.
• Assist in the training of new staff or interns in phlebotomy techniques and laboratory procedures as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, answer questions, and address any concerns.
• Collaborate with clinical laboratory personnel to ensure timely processing of specimens.
• Stay updated on best practices in phlebotomy, physiology knowledge, and laboratory techniques.

Experience

• Proven experience in venipuncture and blood sampling is preferred.
• Familiarity with clinical laboratory environments and medical terminology is essential.
• Knowledge of patient care principles and aseptic techniques is highly desirable.
• Previous experience working in a healthcare setting or laboratory is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure are crucial for success in this role.
