Summary
Make daily decisions to ensure all CNC and manufacturing equipment as well as the company facilities and infrastructure function efficiently and safely, direct activities of the Reliability Department to proactively address equipment issues through a Preventative Maintenance Program and perform administrative functions as required. Monitor and control the installation, preventive and reactive maintenance of all buildings, grounds, and equipment throughout the facility. Offer expertise and assistance to technicians as necessary. Promote teamwork throughout department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Direct the study, design, layout and acquisition of new and modified plant facilities.
· Establish operating procedures and priorities related to machine maintenance. (Operator Driven Reliability)
· Monitor and coordinate all capital expenditures authorization for the department.
· Set up, implement and maintain a preventative maintenance program.
· Negotiate and maintain contracts and oversee the operation of the facility related contractor services.
· Maintain safe practices within the department through employee training and provision of safety equipment following OSHA standards.
· Review project status with Management as required.
· Perform other related duties as required.
Key Roles
· Lead, Manage, Coach and Hold others accountable.
· Keep all equipment running to factory specifications through the implementation of an efficient and effective PM program, and repair shop equipment as necessary.
· Moves and installs equipment per manufacturing strategy.
· Ensures OSHA, DEP compliance; maintains safe operations through 6S and shop cleanliness and by adhering to safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
Requirements
Qualifications
Minimum Five years verifiable on-the-job experience in manufacturing maintenance field without direct supervision
Must have experience performing tasks associated with the following trades: electrical, mechanical, CNC machinery, other areas of expertise in the maintenance field are a plus
Education & Experience Requirements:
10 years experience and three years in supervisor position in facility maintenance within a manufacturing environment is required, with at least five of these years as supervisor in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Individual in this position must have completed training in Hazardous Waste handling
Knowledge of cost analysis of Capital Projects and annual or long term budgeting, and ability to proficiently interpret and analyze blueprints are required. CNC machine trouble shooting required. Ability to read and interpret PLC ladder logic in order to troubleshoot equipment.
Extensive knowledge of regulations such as Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) are required to perform the duties of this position.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
The employee must possess skills in identifying issues in facility, trouble shooting them and resolving issues. Linked from general facilities through CNC machine knowledge to general mechatronic systems understanding and troubleshooting thereof.

Responsibilities include supervision, training and assisting employees.
