Summary
Performs a variety of duties which will include deburring and cleaning of high tolerance aviation and aerospace parts and ensure they remain in tolerance and are completed as per customer requirements. Work independently or with minimal direction from Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work from blue prints and follow routers, corrective actions and other forms of written, verbal, and visual instruction.
- Use various hand and power tools to remove burrs, tool marks, and other visual defects from metal work pieces.
- Scrutinize every facet of job and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to Supervisor.
- Perform housekeeping chores as department requirements dictate.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

- Effectively uses process, material characteristics, and sequence of operations
- Cares for parts in accordance procedures (CP/Handling/ FOD)

Education & Experience Requirements:
Requires the use of acquired knowledge, mechanical aptitude, high school diploma or GED, and three to five years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external customers in both written and oral form.
- Ability to perform the duties of the job applying basic mathematics such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to read blue prints to find break edges, surface finishes, and tolerances
- Understanding of the edge break, chamfer, radius, and fillet print requirements
