Job Summary: The Financial Controller will serve as a strategic business partner, overseeing the financial operations of our manufacturing facilities. This individual will be responsible for financial planning, reporting, budgeting, cost control, and ensuring compliance with all financial regulations. The Controller will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial performance and support decision-making processes to drive business success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP).
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and provide regular financial forecasts for manufacturing operations. Develop and manage individual P&L’s by manufacturing team.
- Cost Accounting: Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead (SG&A). Implement cost-control measures to improve profitability.
- Variance Analysis: Evaluate financial and operational performance by analyzing variances between budgeted and actual results. Provide actionable insights to management.
- Compliance and Audit: Ensure adherence to all financial regulations, internal controls, and corporate policies. Coordinate audits and ensure proper documentation.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in financial reporting and operational controls.
- Cash Management: Develop, manage, and execute cash management procedures. To include vendor payments and cash outlook/projections.
- Strategic Support: Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to provide financial analysis and recommendations on key initiatives and projects.
- Debt/Capital Management: Assist CFO with line of credit (LOC) and capital expenditures (CAPEX) management. To include ROIs for new CAPEX and procedures to insure accurate tracking of all equipment.
- Financial Team Support: Open to backing up any team member due to vacations, primary backup for CFO

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field .
- 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
