Acutronic is looking for a Compliance Manager to join our team in Austin, TX or Pittsburgh, PA. In this role, you will manage Acutronic’s export control program and support a best-in-class compliance program. Our ideal candidate will have at least ten years of relevant experience in aerospace trade compliance.

Your Roles/Responsibilities:

Acutronic’s Simulation & Test Divisionis the global market leader in high-performance motion simulation and test equipment. Our rate tables and advanced centrifuges are used to test or calibrate inertial sensors, navigation systems, and stabilized electro-optics. Hardware-In-the-Loop motion simulators replicate the flight motion profiles and engagement scenarios of missiles. Geotechnical centrifuges and their related accessories are designed to study the behavior of structures, soil mechanics, and earthquakes. Our vibration test systems (shaker tables) allow users to carry out environmental tests to ensure the robustness or quality of manufactured products. The Division also develops and refurbishes stabilized or gimbaled-platforms utilized in applications such as tracking mounts, gun turrets, and directed-energy systems.
Acutronic’s Aerospace Components Divisonmanufactures specialty components for use on uncrewed aerial vehicles, land defense applications, and missile systems. These products are used on next-generation aerospace programs and include a range of electric power systems, servo-actuators, micro-turbines, and Hybrid-Electric-Propulsion-Systems. We offer standard products and excel at designing highly customized solutions for demanding mission requirements.

In this role, you will manage Acutronic’s export control program and support a best-in-class compliance program. Compliance Manager
Your Roles/Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day operational export and trade regulation guidance and support to program personnel for proposed exports, re-exports, deemed exports, management of controlled data, and other activities
- Ensure compliance with anti-corruption legislation globally
- Prepare, submit, and track EAR and ITAR export and temporary import licenses applications, technical assistance agreements, manufacturing license agreements, re-transfer requests, commodity classification and jurisdiction requests, and other export control documentation
- Manage, maintain, and update Acutronic’s Compliance Program documentation, including, but not limited to, Acutronic’s Code of Conduct, Anti-Corruption Policy, Export Control Instructions, Group Country List, and IT & Data Security Policy
- Carry out independent investigations of alleged or potential violations of Acutronic’s compliance rules or the law
- Communicate status of export control activities with company personnel, provide license training to program personnel, and ensure licenses are appropriately decremented
- Act as a liaison with government regulators/bodies including the Department of Commerce and Department of State Departments, NNSA, DCAA, and DCMA
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on anti-corruption and trade issues including, but not limited to, country of origin determination and marking, valuation, denied parties, embargoed countries, anti-boycott compliance and reporting, and red flag issues
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university
- A legal degree would be a plus
- A minimum of ten years of aerospace trade compliance related experience including:
- ITAR and EAR licensing
- USML and ECCN classification
- US and global sanctions lists
- Anti-corruption legislation and compliance
- Experience advocating for company positions in interactions with regulators and when interpreting regulations
