Job Summary:
Dealers Auto Auction of OKC is seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Line Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, including auction inventory and fleet vehicles. This role focuses on heavy mechanical repairs such as engine overhauls, transmission work, suspension, and drivetrain components.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostics and repairs on engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, and drivetrain systems.
Conduct engine rebuilds, timing chain/belt replacements, and cylinder head repairs.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems.
Ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to assess vehicle issues.
Perform routine maintenance, including brake repairs, cooling system service, and exhaust work.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and parts used.
Follow company safety policies and industry best practices.
Assist with inspections and pre-sale vehicle evaluations.
Work collaboratively with other mechanics and auction staff to ensure vehicles are ready for sale.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a heavy line mechanic or in a similar role.
ASE certification (preferred but not required).
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work on a wide range of makes and models.
Experience using diagnostic software and repair tools.
Must have own tools (company may provide specialty tools).
Valid driver’s license
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
