Job Title: Core Network Engineer
Duration: Long Term Contract
Multiple Location: Newark CA, Phoenix AZ, Chicago IL, Dallas TX, Atlanta GA, NYC NY.
Additional Note: Strictly W2 Role, NO C2C
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Core Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot our core network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in routing, switching, network security, and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain core network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Ensure network availability, performance, and security through monitoring and proactive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Optimize network performance by analyzing and fine-tuning configurations.
- Implement and maintain network security policies and protocols.
- Collaborate with IT teams to support new network solutions and upgrades.
- Document network configurations, policies, and procedures.
- Assist in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in network engineering (adjust as needed).
- Proficiency in Cisco, Juniper, or other networking technologies.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VLANs.
- Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security protocols.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex network issues.
- Network certifications like CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or JNCIP are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Knowledge of automation tools (Ansible, Python, or SDN solutions).
- Understanding of VoIP, QoS, and network monitoring tools.
Work Environment:
- Hybrid/Onsite/Remote (adjust as needed).
- May require on-call support for critical network issues.
