Maintenance Helper
Job Type : Temporary with the opportunity to become permanent
Location : West Locations of Orange County
Schedule : Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM (½ hour lunch); some overtime may be required
Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Maintenance Helper to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to transition into a permanent role with the county for the right candidate. The position involves a variety of preventative maintenance tasks, including cleaning, painting, and mechanical assembly, with an emphasis on industrial mechanical work.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, and mechanical assembly.
- Utilize hand tools and measurement instruments for maintenance and repair tasks.
- Follow blueprints and instructions accurately.
- Assist with assembly, installation, and maintenance of pumps, motor fittings, and other mechanical systems.
- Work in confined spaces, climb ladders up to 30 feet, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including hazardous materials (Hazmat) handling if applicable.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient operations.
