Job Overview:
We are seeking Facility Condition Assessment Specialist to join our team for a critical project involving the detailed assessment of 23 healthcare facilities in the Oklahoma City area. This project requires a thorough evaluation of various building systems, compliance with Life Safety Code (LSC) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the development of long-term maintenance and repair strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Visual Inspections: Perform complete visual inspections of all building areas, components, and systems, including but not limited to architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Document Findings: Compile detailed assessment reports with clear findings, recommendations, and prioritized actions.
- Develop Maintenance Plans: Create a multi-year maintenance and repair plan, projecting necessary work over a ten-year period, along with an annual work plan for immediate and upcoming year deficiencies.
- Data Analysis: Analyze facility condition data to determine costs of deficiencies, calculate facility condition indices, and assess the age and life cycle of facility components.
- Compliance Checks: Verify compliance with LSC and ADA standards, documenting any areas needing improvement.
- Reporting: Provide daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports to project management.
- Safety and Security: Adhere to all project safety plans, infection control policies, and maintain a safe working environment during assessments.
- Coordination: Work closely with other team members, manage RFIs, and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in facility condition assessment or similar roles, with experience in healthcare facilities preferred.
- Proven track record in conducting facility assessments, generating detailed reports, and compliance evaluations.
- Certifications: Certification in Facility Management (CFM), Facility Condition Assessor (FCA), or equivalent is highly beneficial.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Proficiency in facility management software and tools.
- Knowledge of LSC, ADA, and other relevant building codes.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to navigate various facility environments, including climbing, bending, and lifting as required for inspections.
Additional Information:
- Project Duration: 90 calendar days, with potential for extension based on project needs.
- Work Schedule: Full-time, with some flexibility for site assessments.
- Travel: Local travel between facilities in Oklahoma City, with possible overnight stays if facilities are outside immediate area.
