What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crew Chief – Broom Crew position at Ada County Highway District (ACHD)?
Applications are now being accepted for a Crew Chief on the Broom Crew at the Ada County Highway District in the Boise, Idaho area. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a starting wage of $29.80 - $34.30 per hour, DOQ.

Primary Responsibilities:
· Under general supervision of the Superintendent, the primary duties consist of supervising the Maintenance Operations team members engaged in maintenance work and related street sweeping projects, assuring compliance of all applicable safety standards, assisting in budget preparation, estimating cost of material, labor and equipment for maintenance activities, and training and instructing crew members.
Qualifications:
· A current Class “A” CDL license.
· Must have good computer knowledge & recordkeeping skills.
· The successful candidate must have previous supervisory experience in roadway construction and maintenance, equipment maintenance and repair, and the ability to operate all equipment associated with the performance of assigned tasks. Experience with customer service is a must.
· The incumbent must also respond to a 24-hour emergency call out bases or as requested.
· OR Any combination of education, training or experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities, is acceptable.
