What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accessibility Specialist position at Ada County Highway District?
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Accessibility Specialist to join our team at Ada County Highway District. As an Accessibility Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting investigations and inspections of all temporary traffic control (TTC) for construction activities within the public right-of-way and any permanent pedestrian facilities to ensure accessibility by people with disabilities.
The ideal candidate will have considerable knowledge of ADA and related accessibility laws and regulations; the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD); coordinating ADA compliance and accommodation programs as related to accessibility and work occurring within the public right-of-way; ADA and pedestrian design elements and roadway design principles including the ability to interpret roadway plans, geometric designs, and roadway safety.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a competitive salary range of $25.10 - $28.90 per hour.
