**Environmental Scientist Role Overview:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Environmental Scientist to join our team at the Ada County Highway District. As a key member of our environmental department, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of environmental policies and programs.
In this role, you will work under the supervision of the Environmental Manager to apply your knowledge of environmental sciences and civil engineering. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting the water quality engineering program, managing stormwater green infrastructure projects, and serving as the stormwater quality representative on capital project teams.
To succeed in this position, you must have considerable knowledge of environmental sciences and civil engineering as they relate to design, repair, and construction of stormwater facilities with an emphasis on green stormwater infrastructure. Hydrology and hydrogeology knowledge and experience are also desired.
The ideal candidate will possess strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as proven ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with various stakeholders.

Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in environmental science and professional level environmental sciences experience.
- Registration as an Engineer Intern in Idaho or equivalent qualifications.
