Job Title: Assistant Traffic Engineer or Traffic Engineer
This is a full-time, exempt position in the Safety Engineering Department at Ada County Highway District. The starting salary range is $69,472 - $89,440.

Key Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the Supervisor, Traffic Engineering, perform, prepare, and review complex traffic engineering projects, including road safety audits, signal design, traffic operations/safety analysis, ADA & APS improvements, neighborhood traffic management for traffic calming, parking studies, and/or urban roadway design related to Traffic Engineering.
- Demonstrate a strong capacity for exploring, identifying, designing and implementing new and proven safety countermeasures in a diverse transportation environment.
Qualifications:
- Considerable knowledge in urban roadway safety principles from a traffic engineering perspective.
- Skilled in CAD design software and experience in plan production.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Traffic Engineering or a related Engineering field preferred.
- Idaho P.E. License preferred.
